On the hottest day in history (it got to 108 in Newark, NJ a new record for any day EVER), the wonderful students and teachers and Freehold Borough public schools turned out to continue learning. I met the nicest kids and the most dedicated teachers ever - they even held some classes WITHOUT air conditioning. And we learned about the alphabet and those silly little squiggly lines we call punctuation. What a wonderful day and a wonderful group of summer scholars!
